Last week the Miami-Dade County Commission passed a resolution offering a 1% pay increase to members involved in patient care during the pandemic (retroactive to March 1).
We know this is insufficient to compensate you for the sacrifice you are making in this incredibly hard time, and it does not impact our #1 priority – fighting for hazard pay. That’s why we have secured the commitment of Mr. Migoya and the Public Health Trust board to provide real hazard pay, and we are continuing to fight for the Senate to pass a bill that includes hazard pay for essential workers.
