As we approach the 2024 Primary and General elections, it’s crucial to recognize the profound influence theseelections have on our union, community, and hospital. As nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers at Jackson, our Miami-Dade County elected leaders ultimately become ourJHS bosses’ bosses.
It’s important to note that election laws in Florida have recently changed.
ALL vote-by-mail ballot requests expired as of December 31, 2022. We are urging all members to check the status of their vote-by-mail request. If you plan to vote by mail this election season andhave not yet renewed your registration, it is crucial to do so as soon as possible.

The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the primary election is Thursday, August 8, 2024, by 5:00 p.m. If you plan to vote by mail for the General Election only, the deadline to request your vote-by-mail ballot is Thursday, October 24, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.
