SEIU 1991 launched its bargaining reopener session with Management today, Tuesday, June 4th, with 50 members in the room and 159 members on the webinar.

For the first time, negotiations included Nurses, Doctors, and Healthcare Professionals all together at one table.

Chief Negotiator Martha Baker, RN, spoke on behalf of SEIU 1991. A 5% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for all three bargaining units was proposed. RN staffing ratio enhancements were also proposed, making 1:5 the maximum and other adjustments, including a $10 /hour penalty for every hour management is out of compliance.
