Fight for $15 Rocks Florida

Nov10_action1

On Nov. 10, thousands of people in hundreds of cities across the country rallied to raise the minimum wage.

In Florida, more than 2100 people, including two dozen elected officials, turned out in more than 20 cities across the state.  Watch the video.

Meanwhile, more than 100 people have taken the Minimum Wage Challenge statewide in the past few weeks. They pledged to live, work, eat and play for a week on what a typical minimum wage worker makes in order to raise awareness about this important issue.

Want to add your voice to the effort? Contact your legislator and get the minimum wage on their radar for the session beginning in January!

And sign up for Lobby Day, when Local 1991 members travel to Tallahassee to talk directly to our legislators.
