Climate Committee Re-dedicates 2023 to Going Green!

With every new year come resolutions for a new beginning. We are very proud of the milestones achieved by the climate committee, which has been one of our successful labor management partnership initiatives. We look forward to continuing to pave the way toward a cleaner future for the entire JMH community.

Last month, one of our nurse educators in trauma, Elizabeth Joseph, MSN RN, presented at the the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) in Orlando. The IHI continues to use science backed research to improve health and healthcare outcomes.

We are well on our way to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and set robust goals for 2023, such as incorporating 50% more reprocessed items in Cath Labs, as well as eliminating the use of styrofoam systemwide, and much more. The combined efforts of greening the OR, producing less waste, cleaner food, packaging, water and transportation will continue to build on the foundation laid toward building a healthier and more productive work environment for us all!
