On behalf of management, Julie Staub, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer said, “We stand by the 8% (wage increase), it’s final.”
Meanwhile the COLA in Miami-Dade County is 10.1% and the research many of you did revealed staff nurses need a 21% market adjustment. The 12% wage adjustment proposal should be the least any of our members receive to recruit and retain our crucial care givers.
Many members spoke up and spoke out this session to educate management on how important experienced caregivers are to patient outcomes in our units. The proposals are on the table. Management is sticking to their 8% package and we are sticking to our true market adjustments.
Come join us at the bargaining rally Tuesday, April 11th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m in front of the Alamo. Join us immediately following the rally for our next negotiation session in DTC 270 beginning at 2:30 p.m.
This campaign is moving fast! We need each and every one of our members engaged, not only for our own benefit, but for the sake of our patients.
IT’S TIME FOR EVERYONE TO GET INVOLVED! Be prepared and stay informed.
