Nurse Alliance Registration NOW OPEN! Click Link Inside or Scan QR code!

Registration is now open for the biennial SEIU Nurse Alliance conference, Crossroads: Seizing Our Power as SEIU Nurses, taking place Tuesday, Oct. 10 to Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami.

The deadline for registration is September 14, 2023.

The full conference will kick off at 1:30pm ET on Tuesday, Oct. 10 and conclude at 12:00pm ET on Thursday, Oct. 12.

Martha Baker, RN, is the proud chair of The National SEIU Nurse Alliance which includes over 80,000 registered nurses. Throughout the conference, SEIU nurses of all backgrounds, practice settings and experience will come together from across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada to learn, inspire and to lean on each other as we explore how nurses are seizing opportunities to raise standards despite immense challenges.   We will participate in plenaries and breakout sessions focused on relevant topics including:

  • Using our collective power and voice to make change for our patients and our profession
  • Lifting our staffing victories and holding employers and policymakers accountable
  • Building our understanding of nurses’ experiences with discrimination and confronting racism
  • Strategies to address long-standing conditions like burnout and moral injury

We’ll also join together for a march that brings the energy and fighting spirit of nurses across the country to support fellow SEIU members who have been fighting for the human dignity and rights of all people in Florida.

For those of you who are interested in overnight accommodations, please see room rates below:

  • The base rate for hotel rooms is $239 for a single / $264 for a double.
  • Meals will be provided starting with lunch on Tuesday, August 10, and ending with a grab-and-go lunch that nurses can take with them on Thursday, August 12.

The dress code for this conference is business casual/casual. Participants should plan to “purple up” and wear comfortable shoes for a planned action on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
