On Thursday, January 19, the Senate Health Regulation Committee is scheduled to begin its consideration of SB 1568, a bill which would require the boards of public hospitals such as Jackson Health System, to “commence an evaluation of the possible benefits to the affected community from the sale or lease of hospital facilities…to a not for profit or for profit entity…”
