We have filed major grievances in regards to the most recent layoffs at Jackson Health System. There will be a grievance hearing on Tuesday, June 19th, and it will most likely proceed to arbitration.
This grievance pertains to many of management’s violations of our contact around the layoffs, including:
- Violating layoff procedures as related to seniority
- Violating procedures of posting time schedules four weeks in advance
- Violating our guaranteed work week
