Jackson ER Attending Physician Dr. David Woolsey recently addressed members of the Financial Recovery Board, urging them to cancel plans to privatize Jackson’s emergency room services.
“You couldn’t ask for a better group of partners,” Woolsey said. “We’ve got not only the best ER physicians, but we are trained in what we do, we are familiar with how the system works and we are committed to doing what’s right for our hospital and our community. You have to withdraw this RFP. Our doctors are leaving. You can’t ask people to partner with you when you’re shopping their jobs around. This RFP was a mistake. Let’s go forward together.”
