With the help of active members in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, SEIU 1991 began pushing management to address the inadequate staffing levels in their areas.
We collected and presented data on staffing loads to management in a series of meetings.
Management agreed to make adjustments in both PT and OT.
As of last week, management added four positions in PT and four positions in OT.
Congratulations to our OT and PT members for standing up for patient care.
We applaud management as well for working with us to do the right thing for patients and staff.
