SEIU 1991 concluded negotiations with JHS management, achieving a 2% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for ALL bargaining units retroactive to January 1, 2021. This was a significant accomplishment made possible by our determination to present a unified front, standing together with all our extraordinary healthcare professionals.
We exchanged a virtual handshake with management agreeing to the key terms of the proposal, making it clear this was merely closure for the 2019- 2020 contract reopener .
All full -time and part time – bargaining unit members in all three of the SEIU 1991 units (RNs, Attendings, Pros ) should expect to see your COLA increase in your May 7th paycheck and the retroactive COLA payout in your May 21st paycheck.
Negotiations for the next contract term will begin on April 22, 2021. Yes ,we are going right back into bargaining for a successor contract .
