Safe Patient Handling Project Testing New Equipment
A joint labor and management project to make lifting and handling patients at Jackson safer will soon be implemented for the first units to receive ceiling lifts and mobile equipment. Training will run from Feb. 9 – April 8.

On Nov. 10, thousands of people in hundreds of cities across the country rallied to raise the minimum wage. In Florida, more than 2100 people turned out in more than 20 cities across the state.

Labor Management Partnership Launches
More than 100 Local 1991 members and Jackson managers recently launched an exciting new partnership to transform Jackson’s culture into one of constant learning and collaboration at all levels. The group came together to learn about the process and begin training to work in teams to tackle issues in their areas.
