The bond issue to update Jackson’s aging infrastructure made it through the County Commission and will go on November’s ballot. That’s good. Commissioners asked for public input to be a component of the education process. As the healthcare experts who know Jackson inside and out, we will be active participants in that discussion.

Jackson and County Employees Rally for 5%
More than 200 county employees, including dozens from Jackson Health System, turned out June 18 to rally for the return of our 5% contribution. Police officers, bus drivers, sanitation workers, park workers and many others joined us to demand an independent audit of the county’s health fund.
